About Us

No community too small, no mikvah out of reach

Mikvah Foundation UK helps communities build and maintain beautiful kosher mikvaos.

Who We Are

A foundation built for the long term

Mikvah Foundation UK helps communities build and maintain beautiful kosher mikvaos.

Mikvah Foundation UK was established to address a clear and enduring need within British Jewish life: the development, improvement and long-term sustainability of mikvah facilities for communities across the country.

As a newly registered charity, we are building a professional platform from which to support communities — helping them plan, fund and deliver mikvah projects to the highest standards of quality, dignity and halachic integrity.

We are not a single community's project. We exist to serve the wider UK Jewish community, working in partnership with shuls, organisations, professionals and local leadership wherever the need arises.

Our Mission

Develop. Improve. Strengthen.

Develop

Supporting the development of new mikvah facilities where communities need them, from initial concept to a completed, functioning building.

Improve

Supporting the renovation, refurbishment and improvement of existing facilities so they continue to serve their communities with dignity.

Strengthen

Helping communities build sustainable infrastructure for future generations, ensuring these essential facilities endure long into the future.

Our Approach

Responsible, professional and community-led

Long-term vision

We take a measured, sustainable approach — building infrastructure that will serve communities for generations, not just for today.

Working with communities

We work alongside local leadership, respecting that every community knows its own needs best. Our role is to support, advise and resource.

Professional standards

We bring professional expertise, transparent governance and rigorous standards to every project we support.

Working With Communities

Partnership is at the heart of everything we do

We work alongside community leadership, shuls, organisations and professionals across the United Kingdom. Every project begins with listening — understanding the community's needs, circumstances and aspirations — before any plan is proposed.

Our Vision

A United Kingdom where every community is served

Our vision is of a United Kingdom in which every Jewish community — wherever it is located, and whatever its size — has access to mikvah facilities that are dignified, accessible and built to endure.

We are building a foundation equipped to support that vision over the long term: professionally governed, transparently managed, and focused on lasting communal infrastructure rather than short-term outcomes.
